Day  1  Sarajevo› arrival and transfer to hotel

Arrival at Sarajevo airport. Meet and assist at the airport by our representative or driver. After that check-in the hotel. Dinner. Overnight.

Day 2 Sarajevo tour + Vrelo Bosne  (FACULTY EXCURSION)

After breakfast, we will take you to visit Vrelo Bosne, the spring of the Bosna River, at the foot of Mountain Igman. The alley is made of two rows of 762 plane trees planted in 1892 and dozens of horse chestnut trees as surely the most beautiful tree row in Bosnia and Herzegovina.The spring of the Bosna River is an outstanding park with numerous streams forming lakes and islands in this geological, hydrological and botanical-horticultural phenomenon. The most beautiful one, however, is the source of the Bosna River, which springs from a number of karst springs at an atitude of 492 meters. The water is of exceptional quality; therefore, a pump station of the city water supply was built next to the spring. The nature here still exceeds the strength and beauty of anything else seen, making the spring of the Bosna River one of the most precious natural and tourist pearls of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Optional Lunch in Old Town local restaurant. After that, sightseeing of Sarajevo, the beautiful Ottoman style mosques and architecture, the old quarters still maintain an authentic Ottoman carsija with oriental sweet shops, cafes, and traditional Bosnian food. During this sightseeing, the group  will be followed  by our  guide who is going  provide them  with  the detailed explanations and the meaning  of the most famous religious, cultural, historical  and  economic monuments in Sarajevo such as: The  Old  City  Hall, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Old handcrafts street,Gazi Husrev bey’s mosque, Clock Tower, Gazi Husrev bey’s mausoleums  (turbe), Kursumlija Madrasah, Emperor mosque, Latin Bridge, and many more. Transfer to the hotel. Optional dinner. Overnight in Sarajevo.

Day 3 Sarajevo – Mostar – Blagaj – Sarajevo (FACULTY EXCURSION)

Breakfast at the hotel.  Today we will visit Herzegovina part of the country where the influence of Adriatic Sea and Mediterian climate dominates and the landscape is different from Bosnia region. We will drive 140 kilometers south from Sarajevo to the city of Mostar. Upon arrival we will take you to the Old town from Ottoman Era because that is where the famous UNESCO protected Old Bridge is located. From Koski Mehmet Pasha’s mosque build in XVII century you will have best view on the Bridge. Proceed to Blagaj. Optional lunch. Blagaj Tekke was built on a solid rocky soil at the right side of the source of the Buna River. In noon hours proceed back to Sarajevo.Optional dinner. Overnight in hotel.

 

Day 4 Sarajevo – Travnik – Jajce – Sarajevo (FACULTY EXCURSION)

Breakfast at thehotel. Today we have full day tour to Travnik and Jajce in Central Bosnia Region. We will visit medieval fortress in Travnik, locally known as Old Town Castle, a medieval town-fortress complex in the town of Travnik. The fortress is located in the Plava Voda neighborhood of the town, overlooking the northbound side. Optional Lunch. After lunch we will head to Jajce. In Jajce we will visit Pliva Waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Bosnia. Near Jajce are Pliva Lakes, and a wooden mill. It will be combination of our cultural and natural heritage. Proceed back to Sarajevo. Optional dinner. Overnight.

Breakfast at the hotel and check out from it. Proceeding back to Sarajevo airport for final departure (approximately 3h before flight).

 

                                                         WINTERS IN BOSNIA

DAY 1 – Sarajevo arrival

Arrival Sarajevo Airport, meet and assist at Airport by our representative. Proceed to hotel, check-in, overnight in Sarajevo.

DAY 2 – Sarajevo tour: Old town

DAY 3 – Sarajevo – Konjic – Jablanica – Mostar – Sarajevo

Breakfast at the hotel.  Check-Out, departure to Konjic.  Presenting  Neretva  River  which  makes Herzegovina  a Mediterranean oasis offering all kinds of experiences: from mountainous terrain to the offerings of local villagers to religious tourism and excellent cuisine. In the Upper canyon are some of the most breathtaking views in all of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is said that rafting down the Neretva River is one of the most wonderful things a person can experience. Continue drive to Mostar, the largest city in Herzegovina and one of the most popular tourist attractions in the country.  Upon arrival, city tour visiting the oldest single arch stone bridge in Mostar, the Cejvan Cehaj Mosque, the Koski Mehmed pasa Mosque, the Biscevica  alley. Back to hotel. Overnight.

DAY 4 – Sarajevo – Olympic mountains – Sarajevo

Breakfast at the hotel. Proceed to mountain Bjelašnica for a pleasant walk on the fresh air. The Bjelasnica Mountain (2,067 m) is a large mountain with spacious slopes, which are under snow cover for more than six months a year. The mountain was the site of several of the most attractive alpine ski competitions during the 14th Winter Olympic Games in 1984. The Igman Mountain (1,502 m) is located several minutes away from the Bjelasnica Mountain. The Igman Mountain is prized with beautiful hiking trails and exceptionally clean air. During the Winter Olympic Games, the Igman Mountain hosted Nordic events and ski jumping competitions. The Bjelasnica and Igman Mountains are among the leading tourist attractions of Sarajevo. Drive back to Sarajevo. Overnight.

DAY 5 – Sarajevo – Travnik – Jajce – Sarajevo

Breakfast at hotel. Today we have Full day tour to Travnik and Jajce in Central Bosnia Region. We will visit medieval fortress in Travnik, Plava voda, Waterfall in Jajce, Pliva lakes and wooden watermills. It will be combination of our cultural and natural heritage. Optional lunch at local restaurant. Proceed to Sarajevo. Overnight in Sarajevo.

DAY 6 – Sarajevo – Trebević – Sarajevo

Breakfast at hotel. Today we take you to Olympic mountain Trebevic with cable car from Sarajevo, we will walk trough Pine forest and visit Bobsleigh track. Later we try alpine coaster in Sunnyland amusement park. Rest of the day will be free.
