It’s located in the Old town, on the spot where story of Sarajevo as a city begins before these two atractions. After introduction we’ll visit City Hall (National libery) built in 1896. in Moorish style. It’s triangle shaped building full of decorations and unique details. City Hall was destroyed during the last war, we reconstructed it on summer 2014.

Highlights:

After City Hall we’ll proceed to the heart of Old Town – main square Bascarsija. On the way well cross the street with restaurants of bosnian traditional dish Čevapi. Going trough the only remaining street from Ottoman period – Kazandžiluk and entering Baščaršija, you’ll enjoy the smell of Bosnian coffee and flavours of hookah bars. Bascarsija is the main square with its famous public font Sebilj.

Gazi Husrev Bey’s mosque

From Baščaršija we’ll move down the Sarači street to Gazi Husrev Bey’s mosque. It’s the most important mosque in Sarajevo with beautiful story of its builder. Near the mosque there is Clock tower also from the XV century, Madrass, and Morica Han.

Old Orthodox Church

Sarajevo is multicultural, multireligious and multiethnical city for centuries. Nearby Gazi Husrev Bey’s mosque there are Jewish old and new temples, Sacred Heart Chaetedral and Old Orthodox Church.

Sarajevo meeting of Cultures

There is a border, in the “sweet corner” in Old town, between two cultures – two empires. That border is called “Sarajevo meeting of Cultures” and its a place where you can see two sides of the street, on one side Ottoman architecture ends and on the other side Austro – Hungarian architecture starts.

Latin bridge

Moving from Sweet corner trough Bezistan, Sarajevo’s covered market from Ottoman Empire, to one of the most visited locations in Sarajevo, Latin bridge. Famous for assassination of Austro – Hungarian archduke Franz Ferdinand, what triggered the WWI.

White and Yellow fortress

Fortifications that made up the defensive wall around of the old town. Since it is positioned it was sufficient to defend the city from enemy attack, but today, it offers a fantastic view of the city and is one of Sarajevo’s most popular vantage points.Five bastions were placed at points along the fortified wall, including the Yellow Fortress, which takes its name from the yellow rock that was used in its construction. The fortress lost its original function once the Austro-Hungarians took over Sarajevo.

Tunnel of Hope museum

At the end of the tour we’ll visit Sarajevo’s tunnel. With introduction about the Bosnian war and siege of Sarajevo you’ll learn what was hapening here during the longest siege in modern history ’92-’95. We’ll visit Tunnel museum, watch a short film about the war and go trough the tunnel.

Bosnia springs

Drive trough the city to Bosna springs, the nature protected area in Ilidza, the green oasis of Sarajevo. Bosna is the river from witch this country got the name.
