Bucharest Arrival
The group arrival in Bucharest, where we will meet with tour escort and driver.
Lunch in a local restaurant. Proceed to a city tour of Bucharest. We will visit the
world famous opera house—Romanian Athenaeum. Then we will visit Calea
Victoriei and Piata Revolutiei, there are many historic buildings and museums in
this area, including Royal Palace (known as National Art Museum now). Piata
Revolutiei (revelution square) commemorates the struggles and victims of the
Romanian Revolution of 1989. Then we will visit Parliament Palace. The building
has a surface of 365.000 sqm and holds the 1st position in the Guinness World
Records for the largest administrative building and it is the heaviest and most
expensive building in the world. We will also visit Arcul de Triumf. Dinner and
overnight in hotel Bucharest.
Bucharest – Sinaia – Bran – Sighisoara
After breakfast, we check out the hotel. We will visit Sinaia, this city is one of the
most historical cities in Romania, and also one of the country's top tourist
destinations — for both domestic and foreign tourists. At the scenic town we'll
visit the Sinaia Monastery, which was build in the 17th century and is known as
“The Cathedral of the Carpathians.” Then we'll stop at an amazing castle: Peles. Its
easy to see why this is one of the most beautiful castles in Europe and well known
summer residences of the Romanian Kings. Lunch in a local restaurant. Continue
journey to Bran to visit Bran castle, situated between the Bucegi and Piatra
Craiului Mountains. Continue to Sighisoara for dinner and overnight.
Sighisoara – Sibiu – Hunedoara – Timisoara
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. We will start the day by visiting the citadel of
Sighisoara (UNESCO Monument), the only medieval citadel in Europe which is still
inhabited. Then we continue to Sibiu. Visit: Piața Albert Huet, Lutheran Evangelical
Cathedral & Tower, Orthodox Cathedral Holy Trinity, Bridge of Lies, Piata Mica, Big
Square (Piata Mare), Fortress Walls, Casa Calfelor, Huet Square. Lunch in a local
restaurant. We then proceed to Hunedoara for a walk around the town. We
proceed to Timisoara for hotel check in, dinner and overnight.
Timisoara – Belgrade
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. We proceed for a walking tour of this
beautiful city called Timisoara. Learn about Timisoara and fascinating history also
called "Little Vienna" and visit its main sights and landmarks. Walk through the
citys main squares (Union, Victory, Liberty). Pass by Timisoaras major landmarks
and find out about their significance: Orthodox Cathedral, Opera Square, City Hall.
Proceed to the Serbian amazing capital – Belgrade! Upon arrival we have lunch in a
local restaurant and proceed for a city tour. Kalemegdan – Old town, Knez Mihail
street, Skadarlija, Republic square, Tito’s residential palace. Proceed to the hotel
for check in, dinner and overnight in Belgrade.
Belgrade – Sarajevo
Breakfast at the hotel and check out. Today we take you to the beautiful country
called Bosnia, and to its capital city Sarajevo. Upon arrival we will have a guided
city tour. We will visit: The Old City Hall, Old Town, Old handcrafts street, Gazi
Husrev bey's mosque, Clock Tower, Gazi Husrev bey's mausoleums (turbe),
Kursumlija Madrasah, Emperor mosque, Latin Bridge. Lunch in a local restaurant.
Free time for shopping before we transfer you back to the hotel. Hotel check in,
dinner and overnight in Sarajevo.
Sarajevo – Mostar – Medjugorje – Dubrovnik
Breakfast at the hotel and check in. Today our journey will take us to the beautiful
city called Mostar. We will have a walk around the Old town, visit the famous Old
Bridge and watch a short film of its history in Mostar Gallery. After lunch in a local
restaurant, we will stop in Medjugorje, a place visited by thousands of Catholic
pilgrims. We will continue our trip to Kravica, stopping at its magnificent waterfall.
We then proceed to Croatia, the final destination of our trip. Hotel check in, dinner
and overnight in Dubrovnik.
Dubrovnik
Breakfast at the hotel. We'll travel with a local guide to visit the perfectly
preserved historic center of this walled city, a jewel of the world's architectural
heritage. This visit includes a tour of the Franciscan Monastery which holds
Europe's oldest pharmacy; Dubrovnik Cathedral and Sponza Palace. Lunch in a
local restaurant. Rest of the day is free. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.
Dubrovnik Departure
Our grand Balkan tour comes to an end today as we have one last breakfast and
check-out of the hotel. Depending on the time of the flight, lunch in a local
restaurant. Transfer to the Aiport. End of service.
